Vision Zero in Urban Roads
The Tel Aviv – Yafo Municipality promotes the VISION ZERO strategy in order to prevent accidents and to improve road safety. The goal of the presented challenge it to reduce the number of motorcycle accidents in urban roads, by creating synergies between various data sources and implementing an inclusive and holistic technological solution.

Motorcycle riders are vulnerable road-users, overrepresented in traffic crashes. About a third of all traffic accidents in Tel Aviv-Yafo involves motorcycles, while a large portion of these accidents results in serious injuries or death.
The goal is to save lives, improve safety and reduce the number of motorcycle accidents in urban roads.
What We Offer?
The technological solution will be funded. More information will be presented on May 18, 2021 at the EcoMotion Week challenges stage.
Potential collaboration with the Tel-Aviv Yafo Municipality and the Israel Smart Mobility consortium, in the framework of this challenge.
Participants will have the opportunity to join the Israel Smart Mobility Living Lab Consortium. The membership enables access to the ISMLL innovation marketplace for partner discovery and project deployment, as well as networking opportunities with leading mobility players.
Participants will have the opportunity to access the ISMLL’s data platform, which includes private and public data sets.
Who Should Apply?
Startups, tech-companies, private companies, governmental organizations, academy, accelerators/Incubators/hubs, service providers, NGOs.
We believe in promoting innovation through collaboration, focusing on real-life challenges. If you are up for this challenge, you are welcome to submit your application!
The following organizations are also welcome to offer their participation: courier and delivery companies, emergency medical services organizations with motorcycle fleets, the National Traffic Police, etc.
The challenge will be presented in the EcoMotion annual event: 18 May 2021 @11:20 (IDT), by Meital Lehavi Deputy Mayor for Transportation at Tel Aviv Yafo Municipality.
